AEROSPACE EDUCATION
Each spring CAP sponsors the National Congress on Aviation and Space Education (NCASE). More than 1,000 teachers attend seminars, assemblies and workshops conducted by national and international aerospace experts, master teachers, practicing research test pilots and astronauts. Annually, CAP provides aerospace education instruction to more than 27,000 youth members and offers aerospace education opportunities to over 36,000 adult members. CAP through expansive linked web page resource serves as an aerospace resource center for educators, and citizens. Visitors are directed to on-line aerospace activities and other classroom teaching tools. A few years ago, Civil Air Patrol started the CAP Middle School Initiative program (MSI), through implementing Civil Air Patrols Aerospace and Cadet Programs in interested middle schools it has educated and inspired students to stay off drugs and focus on the their future and the future of technology in an aerospace era. This program has been such a success that it is now being expanded through High School as well. Related Links: |
